The year 2021 of Condo Group Oy, which organizes project accommodation and furnished apartments, was successful, even though covid19 was teasing the market and doing things for the second year in a row.
Condo was on a growth trajectory and net sales also touched an all-time record year of 2019. The growth was compared to the previous year 2020.
– We reached an almost normal situation and net sales also rose close to the all-time year of 2019, when the world was still normal, concludes Jaakko Räsänen, Condo’s Chief Operating Officer.
The exact turnover and profit figures will be confirmed in the spring, when the company’s financial statements are ready.
During the days of accommodation, Condo made a hard impression. The balance for the year was about 70,000 accommodation days without the Vanha Postitalo in Varkaus, which operates as an automatic hotel.
– We gained several dozen new customers, both domestic and international. We made apartments for customers from Riihimäki to Rovaniemi and from west to east, Räsänen describes.
The accommodation business has been helped by several ongoing wind power projects and repairs and demolition of public buildings in Finland, as well as major industrial refurbishment and maintenance projects. Most of the hosts are foreign work teams operating in Finland.

Räsänen hopes that the corona situation and restrictions will still enable the movement of work groups. In this way, the carts of the home industry and accommodation business would spin seamlessly.
